Weight loss with injections
(GLP-1 / GIP).

If you want to lose weight, there are several injection medicines available these days. Well-known examples are semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and liraglutide (Saxenda®). These work on one receptor in the body: the GLP-1 receptor.

— Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®)

One step beyond
just GLP-1.

Tirzepatide works on two receptors at the same time: the GLP-1 and the GIP receptor. Because it has a wider effect, it works more powerfully. Research — including the SURMOUNT-5 study — shows people on tirzepatide lose more weight than on semaglutide or liraglutide.

Tirzepatide is given once a week as an injection. It boosts insulin production and reduces appetite, which makes it really effective for overweight.
